Terms of Service

The agreement for using MyBlueDoc: what the Service does, how you may use it, and the limits that apply while we’re in beta. It covers both our terms of service and acceptable use.

Effective 28 June 2026

01

Who we are & these terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Future Visuals, the business based in the Netherlands behind MyBlueDoc (“MyBlueDoc”, “we”, “us”). They govern your access to and use of the MyBlueDoc website at mybluedoc.com and the related applications and services (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.

02

The service

MyBlueDoc helps you tailor job-application documents. You provide a CV and a job vacancy, and the Service parses the vacancy, scores how well your CV fits, and helps you rewrite sections, draft motivation letters, and export documents as PDF or DOCX. The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions.

The Service is a tool. It does not guarantee interviews, job offers, or any particular outcome, and it is not a substitute for your own judgement or professional career advice.

03

Beta service

The Service is currently offered as a beta. It is provided “as is” and “as available”, may contain errors, and may change, break, or be discontinued at any time. Features may be added or removed, and we may impose or adjust usage limits without notice.

We recommend you keep your own copies of any documents that matter to you. We are not liable for lost content or interruptions during the beta to the fullest extent permitted by law.

04

Your account

To use most features you need an account. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, to use the Service.

You may close your account at any time from your settings. Closing your account does not relieve you of obligations accrued before closure.

05

Your content & the licence you grant

You retain all rights to the content you upload or create, including your CV, vacancy text, generated documents, and related data (“Your Content”). We do not claim ownership of Your Content.

You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, and transmit Your Content only to operate and provide the Service to you, including sending it to the AI providers described in the “Third-party services” section. This licence ends when you delete Your Content or close your account, except for copies retained as required by law or held in routine backups for a limited period.

You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to submit it and that it is accurate.

06

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or submit content you have no right to use;
  • upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information into an application, or impersonate anyone;
  • upload malware, attempt to breach security, or access accounts or data that are not yours;
  • scrape, crawl, or harvest the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
  • overload, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service, or bypass its usage limits;
  • resell or sublicense the Service, or use it on behalf of others without our agreement.

You are responsible for what you submit to the Service and for what you choose to send to an employer. We may remove content or restrict access that we reasonably believe breaches these rules.

07

AI-generated content & your responsibility

The Service generates text using AI. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. The Service is designed to re-cut the experience you provide to the language of a vacancy. It is not designed to invent employers, dates, or results. You remain fully responsible for reviewing and editing every document before you rely on it or send it to anyone.

You must not present AI-generated content as factual where it is not, and you are responsible for ensuring your applications are truthful. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on AI output.

08

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and all related intellectual property, belongs to MyBlueDoc or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.

You may use the documents you create with the Service for any lawful purpose, including your own job applications.

09

Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties to function, and Your Content may be processed by them on our behalf. Google (Gemini API) generates the AI parsing, scoring, rewrites, and letters. Convex provides the backend, database, authentication, and file storage. Google Sign-In handles optional authentication. Our hosting provider serves the website and applications.

Their handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of the Service may also be subject to those providers’ terms.

10

Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Dutch law, as set out in our Privacy Policy. Please read it to understand what we collect and why.

11

Fees & beta access

The Service is free to use during the beta. We may later introduce paid plans. If we do, we will give you notice and you will be able to choose whether to continue on a paid plan before any charges apply. Beta users will be told about any change before it takes effect.

12

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory Dutch or EU law.

13

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyBlueDoc is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, opportunities, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

14

Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. Some provisions continue to apply after termination because of their nature, including content licences for backups, intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability.

15

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by a reasonable means, such as email or a notice in the Service, before they take effect. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer-protection law entitles you to bring proceedings elsewhere. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.
